We hope you'll join us in congratulations for our registrar Dr. Lynsey McMahon who is finishing her training this month - we are lucky enough to have her staying on as a salaried GP.

All issues are being dealt with initially by telephone - please do not be offended if they ask information about the nature of your inquiry - this is to better help us triage requests by clinical need. Our administrative staff uphold strict confidentiality requirements, and any information will be handled appropriately. This allows us to determine who needs seen face to face.

Due to social distancing and cleaning requirements we have to ensure lower footfall in the practice for everyone's safety, but by using a mix of remote and face to face consultation we have continued to provide thousands of appointments since the start of the outbreak and have dealt with similar numbers of consultations as always.

If experiencing Covid-19 Symptoms, please refer to NHS Inform, or contact NHS 24 (phone 111) if symptoms worsen. If further clinical advice is required, NHS 24 will refer on to a centralised telephone hub, and a doctor may then decide to appoint you at a local assessment centre.

NHS GG&C have created a fantastic resource for support of stress and anxiety during this difficult period, whether related to coronavirus or otherwise - these online/telephone resources are all accessible to you while staying at home and cater for a variety of needs. We'd ask that you consult this list for appropriate support to try and help you manage your symptoms, but please contact us if you're still struggling.

Have you had a look at NHS Inform first? This website has advise on minor illnesses, self-help guides, a local services directory, seasonal topics and healthy living advice. We particularly recommend the musculoskeletal pages that have physiotherapy exercises for any injuries, pain or chronic conditions.

Wellbeing/LifeLink

For support with Mental Health and Wellbeing, we recommend Wellbeing Glasgow and Lifelink - telephone, face to face and group counselling can be arranged through these services. They also have self help guides that can provide assistance. You can self refer for any of services without first seeing a doctor if this suits, though we are always happy to review you prior to speaking to these services if you feel you need to see a GP.
